Operation Prom: Making the Unattainable Attainable

High school seniors across the country are preparing for the biggest night of the year, prom! Recently, Jovani released their new collection of over 200 new styles of jaw dropping prom dresses. This new collection features some of the hottest up-and-coming trends from sexy cutouts, to form fitting lace, to exposed corsets, the designer evening wear powerhouse has once again brought glamour and refinement to the prom market with their one-of-a-kind designs for prom 2014.

Because Jovani understands that prom can be an expensive event for many families, we created the JVN collection; a line of affordable prom dresses retailing under $400 to help alleviate some of the expenses. However, Jovani goes one step further by partnering with Operation Prom for the second consecutive year to provide girls from low-income households with breathtaking dresses for the night of their dreams.

Operation Prom is a non-profit organization that was established in 2005. It assists high school students with resources, opportunities and mentorship. In addition to providing the regular donations of prom dresses and tuxedos, Operation Prom provides scholarships and school supplies to students in need.

Operation Prom hopes to expand throughout the U.S. and increase the number of donations each year. To help this vision come to fruition Jovani donated over $40,000 in new dresses to Operation Prom chapters in New York and Georgia last year, and plan to donate even more this year. Jovani’s donations will give girls around the country the chance to look like the Hollywood starlets that they are in some of the most stylish gowns. From beaded adorned mermaid silhouettes to classic jersey styles in colors that range from soft pastels to electric neon, Jovani is ready to give these young ladies the prom experience of their dreams in a designer dress perfect for them.
